Collection: Hakata
Hakata style knives are a variation of bunkas. They have that typical inverted tip that intrigues knife lovers. Hakata is located on the southern island of Kyushu, where this style of knife was once part of any good home kitchen. Unlike more common bunkas, the hakata is slightly larger with a more curved edge and a pronounced reverse tip. The cutting edge of the blade is fairly flat, favoring push-type cutting techniques.
